About Online Job Applications

Online Job Applications (OJA) is a free, independent guide to applying for hourly jobs in the United States. We publish step-by-step guides for about 1,000 employers in fast food, retail, grocery, logistics, and other industries where people apply for shift work.

Who we help

Our readers are people looking for their next job: first-time workers, parents returning to work, people switching industries, and anyone who wants a straight answer before they apply. Each guide answers the questions people ask most: where the real application is, what the job pays, how old you need to be, what the hiring process looks like, and what to expect after you apply.

We are independent

OJA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any employer we write about. Company names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify the employer a guide covers.

  • We do not take job applications.
  • We do not forward resumes to employers.
  • We cannot check the status of an application or contact a hiring manager for you.
  • We never charge job seekers for anything.

To apply, use the official link in each guide. It takes you to the employer’s own careers site, where your application goes straight to the employer.

How our guides are made

Each guide is researched from first-party sources whenever they exist: the employer’s official careers site, its job postings, and its public filings. Pay information comes from those sources or from public pay data such as the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. As we review each guide, we add the source and date next to its pay figures; where a guide does not name a source yet, treat the figure as an estimate. Apply links point to the employer’s official careers page.

Guides are drafted with the help of AI writing tools and reviewed by the OJA Editorial Team before they are published. Our editorial policy explains how we source, check, and correct every guide.

How we keep the site free

OJA is paid for by advertising from Google AdSense, and some guides include job listings from Jooble, a third-party job board that does not pay us. Advertisers do not choose what we write, and no employer pays to be covered or to get a better review. Ads come from Google and are not written or chosen by us. Read more in our privacy policy.
